Questions About Being a Cook

Is there electricity to my cook’s booth spot? No there is not you have to provide your own heat source or electricity for cooking.

Do we have to provide our own tables? Yes you provide your own tables and canopies.

What rules do we follow? You will follow the CASI rules because this is a CASI-sanctioned chili cook-off.

Questions About Day of Cook-off/Round Up

Are dogs allowed? Yes if they are on a leash at all times and you clean up after them and they are well behaved.

Where do we park? There will be parking around town. Along 1st street there will be grass lots with parking signs that show you where to park and wagon shuttles from those lots.

How do I buy tickets? Tickets can be bought online or the day you show up at the ticket booths located on 2nd Street.

Will there be food? Yes we have food trucks, a concession stand run by the local school kids, and two great restaurants in town to get food at (the Stampede Saloon and Eatery and the Chugwater Soda Fountain).

Questions About Lodging

Are there Hotels in the area? In Chugwater we have the Buffalo Lodge you can call to make reservations at. In Wheatland the host hotel is Super 8 by Wyndham who is offering special rates for the cook-off.

Is there Camping? There is dry camping around town for the cook off or in the parking areas. The Buffalo Lodge has a RV camping spot area with hook ups.
