|The 35th Annual Chugwater Chili Cook-Off is Wyoming’s spiciest hometown event!
This year’s event will be held at the Chugwater Town Park and will feature a competitive chili cooking contest. There are several divisions of competition and attendees will get a spicy kick out of watching cooks compete in the Showmanship Division. Attendees are encouraged to participate to their fullest extent by placing a vote for the People’s Choice Award.
You can grab a nice commemorative beer mug to aid during your tasting. Commemorative T-shirts and other items will also be available for purchase on the day of the cook-off.
This year’s event features a car show with drivers eager for your vote as best of show as well as a ranch rodeo!
Kids are encouraged to take part in kids games and crafts. The park offers a new playground with slides, swings, merry-go round and more.
The Chugwater Chili Cook-off was started by the Chugwater Chili Corporation in 1986 and it has historically been organized by an all-volunteer group. Proceeds go to local non-profit groups including the Chugwater School Student organizations (FFA and FBLA), Chugwater Volunteer Fire Department, Chugwater Historical Unity Group, Chugwater Housing and Economic Development and the Chugwater Community Center.
Keep in mind for future reference that the Chugwater Chili Cook-Off always occurs on the third Saturday of June (the Saturday before Father’s Day). What a great tradition to kick off Father’s Day weekend every year!
